Yasemin Saygıdeğer MD, PhD
Yasemin Saygıdeğer MD., PhD., is an Associate Professor and has been a faculty member of Çukurova University School of Medicine, Department of Chest Diseases since 2017. After completing her Medicine and Specialization Education at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine and Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training & Reseaarch Hospital respectively, she started her Molecular Medicine PhD education at Dokuz Eylül University in 2010 and graduated in 2016.
She did her postdoctoral research at Georgetown University in Washington DC, USA, with Prof.Dr. Aykut Üren for 3 years, where she increased her knowledge and skills in basic scientific research to study Translational Medicine.
Currently, as she is their founder, she is working as a Faculty at Çukurova University School of Medicine, Department of Chest Diseases; CU Institute of Science, Department of Biotechnology; and CU Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Translational Medicine. She is also the Deputy Director of the Cukurova University Biotechnology Research Center.
Aycan Sezan, MSc
Graduated from the Animal Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Laboratory, Faculty of
Agriculture in Cukurova University, Aycan is currently doing her PhD within Saygideger's Lab. Aycan is conducting different projects in cancer biology and she is working mainly on organoids models.
Taoufik Allababidi, MSc
Rihab Ksouri, MSc
Rihab is a PhD student who graduated from Ankara University, Biotechnology Institute from Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Lab. She joined Saygideger Lab and currently working on extracellular vesicles and drug delivery for tissue regeneration and cancer treatment. Furthermore, Rihab is working on tissue decellularization and scaffold development for regenerative medicine purposes.
Syed Hamza Zaffar Bukhari
Hamza got his bachelor's degree from Pakistan, and under a fully funded scholarship from the Turkish Government, he started his master's in Turkey. He did 2 projects during his master's. 1 project in Saygideger lab, which was related to a drug delivery system against lung cancer and the title was “Encapsulation of Cancer drug-L24 with liposomal silver Nanoparticles against lung cancer”. He did another project during his Erasmus internship entitled "Recombinant production of a functional serine proteinase TMPRSS2 as a medical target for the treatment of viral infections”.
M. Yağız Çapanoğlu
Yağız graduated from Üsküdar University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. He is doing his master's degree at the Department of Biotechnology within Saygideger's Lab. His thesis research is focused on the Collective Invasion of lung cancer cells under hypoxic conditions.
Graduated from Aksaray University, department of Biotechnology and Molecular Biology. Merve is doing her Master's degree within Saygıdeğer Lab. She is conducting her thesis titled “Investigation of the effect of Slug and TP63 on collective invasion in lung cancer".
Is a student in the Master of Translational Medicine Program. He is a medical doctor who earned his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Rangpur Medical College in Bangladesh. He is passionate about stem cell research and their use to treat patients. He is currently studying thymoquinone in different diseases.
Is a medical doctor with an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree. She graduated from M. A Rahim Medical College in Bangladesh. Sehreen is currently doing her master’s degree in Translational Medicine. She is interested in Stem cell research for the treatment of different disease
Aya is currently a master's student in the program of Molecular Biotechnology at Anhalt Hochschule, and now she is doing an internship in Saygdieger lab on the project of studying the effect of ezrin on invasion in different Cancer cell lines.
